It is understood from the expressions about death in the Orkhon inscriptions that the bird is the symbol of the soul. The word “to fly” in Turkish means death. In addition, birds that symbolize heaven are among the animals that were imitated by shamans and acquired as protective spirits. The goose, crow, owl, swan are the animals that the shaman most often takes.

The birds are very decorative with their long curled tails. Around some birds are pomegranate flowers and branches, which are symbols of heaven and eternal life. Birds are figures that symbolize the spirit or shaman who is the guardian of the tree.
