Although the bird figure is shown as a decoration tool in Anatolian Seljuks, it is known that it contains a sacredness and it contains many symbolic meanings. The bird is still the symbol of the human spirit today. According to a common belief, when a person dies, his soul turns into a bird and continues to exist.

In Central Asian beliefs and shamanism, spirits are carried to the sky by birds after death, every human being has a guardian spirit in the form of a bird, and when he died, that soul would fly into the sky under their guidance. Thus, man would gain the ability to fly in case of death.
